Eligibility Requirements for the Malaysian Government Scholarships
To successfully apply for this scholarship, the applicant has to fulfill the below-mentioned requirements:
- For a Master’s degree, the age limit is 40, and 45 for a Ph.D. degree.
- To apply for the Master’s degree, the minimum CGPA should be 3+ for a Bachelor’s Degree.
- For the Ph.D. degree, an applicant can only apply if their CGPA is 3+ in master’s in the similar field they are applying for.
Malaysian Government Scholarships Without IELTS

Requirement of IELTS for Malaysian Government Scholarship: Not Mandatory
The applicant must submit a scanned copy of the original English Language Proficiency. The acceptable English language tests are either IELTS with a total of 6.5 Bands, Duolingo, or TOEFL with a minimum score of 580, PTE, Cambridge English tests, or CanTEST. Candidates who are obtaining degrees with English as the medium of instruction can also apply. The written research proposal should be of at least 1,000 words in the relevant field.
